About the Amira P420H Project

The P420H project is structured around two themes:

Theme 1 – Transfer

This theme is focussed on transferring, embedding and applying knowledge through process models, the Gold Knowledge Base/website, professional development, mentoring, technology transfer courses, operational reviews, and benchmarking.

Theme 2 - Enhance & Create

This theme is focussed on developing and extending mineral processing and hydrometallurgical knowledge for treatment of gold ores, with particular emphasis on maximising value for low grade and/or difficult ores. The research in this theme aims to address gaps in processing knowledge that can assist gold producers with improving recovery, maximising economic return, and obtaining and retaining their licence to operate given the difficult nature of many ores and increasingly stringent environmental regulations.
