The Amira Gold Processing Technology project is a collaborative industry funded project which has operated since 1984. Over nearly 40 years the project has covered a wide range of topics within the areas of gold ore processing and environmental management of tailings. The project is based at the Western Australian School of Mines at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia.

The current P420H 4-year project cycle (2022-2026) will undertake research in areas including unleached gold, oxidants and process model development as well as delivering a comprehensive training and professional development program.
